Writing Prompts - September 2023
Every month here on the blog (and on my Instagram) I share 10 creativity prompts. While these prompts were created with poetry and flash fiction stories in mind, you can use them for literally any creative project you’d like—it’s up to you what you make!
I created these prompt lists because I love looking for inspiration, gathering ideas from outside sources, and getting my mind moving in directions it might not have otherwise. I look forward to bringing y’all more prompts every single month, and I hope they help you create something you love.

These prompts are simply a starting point for creating whatever your heart desires—go wild, be free, and most important of all have fun!
Tagging & Linking Back:
If you use them on Instagram, I’d love it if you tag me @katierodante and the hashtag #MSCprompts.
If you’re sharing your responses to the prompts on a blog or other internet place, then feel free to link back and comment on this post with the link—that way I can check out your creations.
